Audit Manager - Liverpool City Centre – Hybrid role with both home and office working

£35,000 - £45,000 Depending on experience

Following a period of significant growth, we are currently recruiting for an Auditor Manager to join a dynamic and friendly independent firm based in Liverpool City Centre. With an enviable portfolio of audit clients and an excellent reputation locally for delivering a high-quality service, you will be joining a highly regarded firm that offers on-going support and development.

The Job:

Reporting to the Audit Directors, the key responsibilities for this Audit Manager role will be to:

  • Delivering high quality audit and accounts work on client engagements.
  • Directly liaising with the client staff and establishing strong on-going relationships throughout the year.
  • Working on the complex and significant risk areas of the audit and prioritising client work such that higher risk or time sensitive work is completed first.
  • Prioritising and planning work to meet the expectations of the client and managing any conflicting pressures by making the best use of your time and resources.
  • Managing the client’s reporting requirements and ensuring that any expectations and/or deadlines are met.
  • Supervising and controlling the completion of work and providing “on the job” training where required.
  • Ensuring that the assignment is completed on budget and communicating with both the partner and client any anticipated overruns.
  • Performing the firms review and completion procedures and attending the final meeting with the client ensuring the client receives the final accounts and commercial management letter on a timely basis.
  • Researching and preparing proposals for new work.
  • Taking part in formal presentations to prospective clients.

The Person:

The ideal candidate would be ACA/ACCA qualified and will possess proven knowledge and experience of the audit process, gained in a similar practice environment. Experience of using audit systems and CCH is required along with a competence in using all the MS Office package.  You will be a confident communicator with the ability to present information both internally and externally and you will be expected to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus, therefore strong organisation and time management skills are essential.
