Customs Assistant Manager/Manager

Manchester but can work from home (UK wide)

£40,000 to £60,000 + Benefits

Our client is an advisory consultancy that offers a wide range of tax services and is seeking to add additional headcount to its’ Customs team in light of existing work and its’ prediction of the opportunities post-Brexit will bring.

Your role will:

  • Work on a wide range of projects and clients working on free trade agreements, custom valuation, and classifications
  • Undertake and advise on import and export compliance
  • Advise on global trade strategy and savings opportunities
  • Assist the Head of the Department in focusing on cost reduction and minimising delays in the cross-border movements of goods
  • Help with the design and implementation of Global Customs and Global Trade compliance frameworks
  • Support senior staff members with business development

Ideally, you will have proven experience of customs either from practice, HMRC, or from an in-house role and be seeking a position where you are able to work on your own initiative but also have the support of a wider team. Currently, the role will be 100% working from home but you can be based anywhere in the UK as the team has a national client base and most work is undertaken remotely.
