We are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to join a Manchester Based Housing Association. This is a classic SME Finance Manager role where you will get involved in all aspects of finance whilst managing a small team. Paying circa £42k plus excellent pension, flexible working, and 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays).


Managing and motivating a small finance team to deliver effective financial and operational financial information, regulatory/statutory accounts and act as a Finance Business Partner to Key Stakeholders across the organisation:

Core duties:

  • Monthly management accounts for all entities
  • KPl's reporting
  • Lead and co-ordinate the preparation of the annual budgets
  • Produce the year end statutory accounts
  • Rent and Service Charges
  • Ensure effective transactional processing and controls are in place
  • Assist in the development of the finance systems
  • Keep up to date with best practice and benchmarking information to deliver efficiencies, improvements and to support the drive for value for money
  • Manage risk and cost drivers for area of responsibility.


  • You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB), ideally with experience of working in social housing or similar sector. You are a natural team player able to build strong cross functional relationships to support colleagues and the wider organisation to achieve its objectives.
  • You will have hands on experience ad attitude whilst being able to see the bigger picture, and the drive to mentor and develop your team to deliver excellent quality data, and to efficiently service their internal and external stakeholders.
  • This is a permanent position Paying circa £42k plus excellent pension, life assurance cover, health cash plan, flexible working and 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
