We are recruiting an experienced Interim Finance Officer for a well-established Housing Association in Manchester. Paying up to £24K plus 25 days holiday, pension, perkbox benefits, and agile working (even in non-COVID times). This is a great all-round finance assistant role, which will lead to greater exposure to a wider area of finance than you get in standard roles.


Reporting to a Finance Business Partner you will be supporting the Business Partnering Team and Head of Finance in a wide range of financial tasks, these can include:

  • General Ledge and Control Account reconciliation
  • Journals, accruals, and pre-payments
  • Year end reconciliation and audit-related tasks.
  • Monitoring KPIs and budgets
  • Assist in VfM calculations
  • Variance analysis


You will be an experienced finance officer/accounts assistant with rounded experience and strong Excel. AAT level or similar finance qualification is beneficial but not essential, but the desire to learn and develop and adapt to this varied role is a must.

You will be a strong communicator, able to communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues alike. Deadline driven with a common-sense approach.

This is a 10 Month Fixed Term Contract paying up to £24K plus 25 days holiday, pension, perkbox benefits and will be WFH, with agile working post-COVID.
