We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Management Accountant (c18 month FTC) for this well-established social housing organisation based in Manchester. Paying to £45K plus great benefits as a fixed-term contract on payroll, this is an all-round management accounting and business partnering opportunity.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the management accounting support to one of their operations whilst working as part of an established finance team. You will be responsible for accounting and business partnering for the business area you  are supporting, and contribute to the management accounts production for the wider group:

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality financial information and advice to enable effective management control of budgets
  • Deliver costings, process developments, and systems reporting, ensuring robust procedures are implemented
  • Preparation of financial & management accounts, service charges, and statutory audit 
  • Financial modelling to evaluate and appraise new and complex projects
  • Project appraisal including any appraising projects and provision of sound financial advice.

THE PERSON

  • You will be a either a fully qualified accountant or QBE with all-round management accounts, budgeting, and financial accounting experience
  • You will be a natural communicator and be able to work collaboratively as part of the wider management accounting/finance team
  • Ideally, you will have worked previously within a Not for Profit environment, but you must have experience of working in a complex and varied financial environment
  • You will have advanced working knowledge of excel, and experience of working on integrated finance/ERP systems
