As a Management Accountant in this expanding Finance team, you will provide accounting support to ensure key financial close and day-to-day activities are complete in a robust and timely manner. You will be proactive support for the Finance Manager, helping to develop the Assistant Management Accountants as they too strive to gain experience ad qualify. Excitingly you will be actively involved in the integration and transformation of finance functions on key acquisitions as they come on board.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, presenting the monthly numbers to the Finance Manager and Financial Controller
  • Support Finance Manager in ensuring strong month-end controls and ensure deadlines are hit
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead a process of process documentation and controls and ensure consistency across all documented processes
  • Supporting the understanding and investigation of variance analysis relating to actuals vs budgets and forecasts and work closely with the commercial team
  • Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to drive decision making, developing strong cross-functional partnerships across various departments
  • Lead in the preparation and review of accurate P & L's, ensuring all numbers reported are accurate and discrepancies understood and investigated
  • Lead in the preparation of monthly-lead schedules and support any statutory audit requirements, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure local GAAP requirements are applied correctly in the financial close process


You will be a fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant with experience of working in an Accounting function. You will have excellent communication skills to enable you to liaise with senior stakeholders (both finance and non-finance) and be a natural mentor to the supporting finance team. Knowledge of Word and Excel is essential, and knowledge of SAP or a similar large ERP system would be beneficial.
