Procurement Administration Assistant – Greater Manchester - Salary £20k - £22k

Based in the North West, our client is a manufacturing organisation who is seeking an individual to join their Procurement team as a Procurement Administration Assistant. The Procurement Administration Assistant will report into the Supply Chain Manager and ensure that all purchase orders are on track to arrive on time, constantly maintain stock records and will assist with all aspects of administration within the Procurement team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Processing standard stock card purchase orders
  • Processing supplier order acknowledgments and chasing when not received
  • Updating product pricing and lead times
  • Running reports from Sage to chase outstanding orders daily
  • Completing supplier credit application forms
  • Setting up and maintaining stock and supplier records
  • Chasing suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time
  • Follow up non-delivered supplier purchase orders and back orders.
  • Manage supplier invoice/supply disputes
  • Assisting with the implementation of a central products library
  • Assisting with the collection of supplier compliance records


We are looking for an Administrator that has experience working in a fast-paced production or procurement role. Manufacturing or engineering industry knowledge and the ability to use Sage 200 would be ideal. You must be highly organised with the ability to multi-task and work in a calm and professional manner when working under pressure.  A solid working knowledge of all the MS Office packages is required, including Excel.  You must be a strong team player with good problem-solving ability, have a can-do attitude and a proactive approach. Good negotiation skills are also required.
