Sales Administrator – Greater Manchester - Salary paying up to £22k plus benefits

Based in the North West, our client is a manufacturing organisation who is seeking an individual to join their expanding sales team as a Sales Administrator. THE JOB:

The role will primarily be to provide comprehensive support to the sales team allowing them to focus on growing the business. This is a busy and varied role that requires a high level of organisation, and a prominent level of attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Input all sales orders and process customer purchase orders using Sage
  • Raise sales invoices on Sage and take payments
  • Update order quantities and delivery addresses
  • Daily communication with clients including updating clients on order progress and dealing with queries
  • Send samples and follow up with clients
  • Producing regular and accurate reports
  • Ensure regular data cleansing of the sales database
  • Proactively calling lapsed customers to re-establish communication with the business
  • Qualify inbound leads and distribute to the correct person within sales

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a candidate that has experience of working in a fast-paced sales or customer service environment. You must be highly organised with the ability to multi-task and work in a calm and professional manner when working under pressure.  An excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels with both clients and internally is essential.  Solid working knowledge of all the MS Office packages is required, with a particular necessity for a high level of Excel knowledge and the use of Outlook.  Experience in using Sage would be advantageous.
