Sales Manager/Account Manager – North West – £40k to £50k, bonus scheme, pension, and a potential mix of office and home-working.

Based in the North West, our client is a rapidly expanding business whose turnover has significantly increased over recent years. Their aim is to offer future employees a long-term opportunity to join them and grow with their business. They are ideally looking for candidates that would like a position that offers longevity and a permanent career move.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales across a network of clients. This includes a variety of suppliers within the UK and Internationally as well. The candidate should be able to work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. The candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, being 100% customer service oriented, and be able to build successful long-term customer relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of international accounts to achieve long-term success
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
  • Arrange and conduct client meetings where needed
  • Generate new business Internationally
  • Report on the status of accounts regularly to the Sales Director
  • Track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Completely focused on driving turnover and profit
  • Support the Sales Director in additional duties


Ideally, you will have proven B2B sales and account management experience with knowledge of growing and developing accounts with both international and UK suppliers. Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel is required, alongside excellent communicative and negotiation skills. A secondary European language would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
